KTM adventure and enduro motorcycles are often used in conditions where a mirror has to work on both public roads and technical terrain. DopeMirrors are designed around that mixed use. The current system combines two adjustable ball joints, rubber damping and an E9 marked mirror according to ECE R81.
Current DopeMirrors materials show or reference KTM 690, 890, 990 and 1290 motorcycles. Exact compatibility should still be checked for the specific model, year and mounting setup. Aftermarket handguards, handlebars and changed mirror mounts can affect what is required.
The mirror system uses a lower and upper ball joint. This gives more positioning freedom than a fixed stem and allows the mirror to be moved into a more compact position when the route gets narrow or technical. When the assembly meets an obstacle, movement in the joints can also be preferable to transferring every load through a completely rigid mirror.
Rubber damping at both ball joints is intended to reduce vibration and help maintain a more stable rear view. The actual result depends on the motorcycle and installation, so the correct description is vibration reduction rather than a promise of no vibration.
The current DopeMirrors model carries E9 marking according to ECE R81. For KTM riders who connect off road sections with public roads, this combines the folding architecture with an approved road mirror configuration intended for Europe.
The mounting balls combine stainless steel and rubber. The current arms are 15 cm aluminium components and the housing is reinforced nylon with glass fibre. A consumer set contains two mirrors, two arms and mounting balls selected for the motorcycle.
Send the exact KTM model and year. If the motorcycle has modified controls, handguards, handlebars or mirror mounts, include a photo of the current mounting point. We can then check fitment without relying on an overly broad universal compatibility claim.
