Your R 1200 GS does not need to become a different motorcycle to benefit from folding mirrors. DopeMirrors replace the fixed mirror arrangement with two adjustable joints on each side, giving you a road position and room to fold the mirrors for narrower spaces or transport.

Start with the mounting points already on your GS
With an older motorcycle, previous owners may have changed adapters, controls or handguards. Check the connection actually on the bike rather than assuming the original arrangement is still fitted. Give the exact model year and GS or GS Adventure version in the cart.
We select the mounting balls for that setup. Different R 1200 GS generations should not be treated as one universal fitting. Do not force the new part into a damaged or uncertain thread. Send us a photo when you need help identifying the connection.
Road visibility before appearance
Sit normally with your jacket and gloves on. Adjust the arm first, then the housing, so the mirrors show behind rather than mostly your shoulders. Test both sides with the luggage you carry. Two ball joints make these adjustments independent of a fixed stem angle.
Rubber coated joints help reduce vibration. The final image still depends on the motorcycle and mounting, so we do not promise zero vibration at every speed.
A compact position when you need it
Fold the mirrors while stationary, secure the clamps again and check full steering movement. Keep the assembly clear of the screen, handguards, hoses and levers. Return the mirrors to a useful road position before using public roads.
The system can move when it meets an obstacle, but a fall can still cause damage. Inspect the glass and mounting points after an impact instead of checking only the arm position.
Complete set and long term support
The set includes two mirrors, two 15 cm aluminium arms and selected mounting balls. It combines reinforced nylon housings, stainless steel components and rubber coated joints. The current DopeMirrors model is E9 approved under UNECE R81 in its approved configuration and is made in the EU.

Does the production year matter?
Yes. Give the exact year and version, as well as any mounting changes. The model name alone does not identify every connection.
Can the mirrors be folded for loading the motorcycle?
Yes. Stop, adjust and secure them, then check that they cannot press on the controls during transport.
