BMW R 1300 GS Mirrors
A folding mirror gives the R 1300 GS more adjustment for touring, gravel and transport. DopeMirrors use two ball joints on each side so the arm and housing can be positioned separately. Before changing the originals, check both the mounting and the equipment fitted to your motorcycle.
Important: DopeMirrors do not reproduce warning lights or electronic functions built into original mirrors. Check this before ordering if your BMW has them.
Mechanical fit and electronic functions are different checks
An accessory can fit a mounting point without replacing every function of the original part. If your mirrors display assistance warnings, ask your BMW service specialist about the effect of replacing them. Do not assume a standard folding mirror preserves those features.
Give the exact year, GS or GS Adventure version and any changes to the cockpit in the cart. Contact us before purchase when the mounting or original mirror equipment is uncertain.
Adjust for the view from the seat
Wear your riding gear and sit in your normal position. Move the arms, then adjust the glass to see behind your shoulders. Check both sides with your usual luggage and turn the handlebar fully in each direction to check the screen, handguards and controls.
Rubber coated joints help reduce vibration, but the complete mounting and motorcycle setup still affect the image. They are not a guarantee of a perfectly still view in every condition.
Fold for space, restore for the road
Stop before repositioning the mirrors. Secure the clamps after adjustment and keep the assembly away from the levers and hoses. A compact position can be useful for transport or narrow spaces, but restore a clear rear view before returning to public roads.
The joints allow movement during an impact. Damage remains possible, so inspect the mirrors and their bases after a fall.
The current DopeMirrors set
One set contains two mirrors, two 15 cm aluminium arms and mounting balls. Reinforced nylon housings, stainless steel components and rubber coated joints form the system. The current model has E9 approval under UNECE R81 in its approved configuration. It does not add or replace motorcycle assistance electronics.

Will I keep the warning lights in my original mirrors?
No. DopeMirrors do not include replacement warning lights or electronics. Check the consequences for your particular equipment before buying.
Does a photo prove compatibility with every R 1300 GS?
No. It shows one rider configuration. Your production year, version, mounts and equipment still need to match.
